Hang Out with the Fetch Cast of the MEAN GIRLS National Tour

(music) – The Tony-nominated and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning
musical, “Mean Girls,” is hitting the road this fall
in its first national tour. We’re here at New 42nd Street
Studios to meet the cast, and to get a sneak peek
at this fetch musical. ♪ You were so fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ You didn’t cry or hide or throw up ♪ ♪ So fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ No emotional drama ♪ ♪ just fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Well, some people need to grow up ♪ ♪ Whoa, fearless ♪ ♪ Got no time for her drama ♪ ♪ She’ll go cry to mama ♪ ♪ From now on Imma be ♪ ♪ Fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ fearless, whoa ♪ ♪ Fearless ♪ – Tina and Jeff really just
created a wonderful adaptation to the film that was already amazing, and it lives so independently, but then also paralleled and
intertwined with the film that I just love. You know, it really just
is so true to school, and I’m only 23, so I can still remember my school pretty well,
and it’s like, gosh, I remember these characters, I remember these people in the halls, and I remember me interacting
with these characters. But I think what the show does so well, what the creators have
done, this creative team, is just make it so real and honest, and make you sympathize
with just, we’re kids, we’re trying our best,
and we’re just growing up in high school. – I love this show so much, because I think it
touches on so many issues that people of all ages
can really relate to, and it touches on them with
such a great sense of humor, that you laugh your way
through the whole show before realizing that you
just learned something really cool about yourself. I think, most obviously,
it’s for a young teenage girl going through high school, but I think it also
speaks to young boys, too. The movie spoke to me
when I was a young kid, I loved it, and I think
parents can learn a lot too, about what it’s like to be
a kid today in high school. – I think that this score
has something for everybody, I truly believe that. It’s like classical musical theater meets what you hear on the radio. Like meets, whether we’re
playing on the 2004 radio, when I was jamming out in my
car, or had a CD of Evanessence (laugh) so I think the music is really dynamic, really fun, you can jam out to it. You’ll want to sing the
songs after you hear them. And you’ll be mind-blown by the way these people
are singing them, too. I have chills thinking about it. ♪ If you’re fearless ♪ ♪ Fearless ♪ ♪ fearless ♪ ♪ Stronger than she ♪ ♪ Stronger than she ♪ (music) ♪ Fearless ♪ (applause)
