[IELTS SP2 difficult] Describe a historical place/ building in your country | Bến Thành market

Describe a historical place or building in Vietnam A very popular historical building that I would like to discuss today is Ben Thanh market It is located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City and until this very day, it stands as one of the earliest surviving structures of Vietnam and it’s also considered a major hub of Ho Chi Minh city life it is visited by tourists coming from different places around the world and it’s also very popular among the local people In terms of the history of its development, it was developed from small markets and was later gathered by street vendors in the 17th century. It was then formally established by the French colonial powers when they took over Gia Dinh And then it was renovated, rebuilt and moved many times after that. Beside being an amazing historical landmark, Ben Thanh market offers a wonderful culinary experience. You can find a lot of local specialities here like Vietnamese sandwich, Pho and also spring rolls. There are many shops around Ben Thanh market that sell these kinds of food so you will have an amazing experience. And in the evening, when these shops are all closed, the sidewalk restaurants located around Ben Thanh market sell dishes that are freshly made to the order. And you will have an amazing experience, having a spectacular view of Ho Chi Minh around Ben Thanh market. And you can also buy a lot of handmade handicrafts here like bags and jewelry that cannot be found anywhere else. However, one thing to keep in mind is that despite the good quality of these items, the price of these items can be inflated up to 2 to 3 times than the orignal so it’s important to go around and visit at least 3 or 4 stalls just to have an idea of what the price is and how cheap you can bargain the items down. I think that Ben Thanh market is of a huge historical value to Vietnam.
