Japanese Food Tour | Hidden Gems in Fukuoka Japan December 10, 2019 Tags:tabieats Related Posts Last Minute Holiday Panic – Foil Arms and Hog I Ate $800 Shrooms – Tales from the Trip How to Unplug From Work When YOU Are On Vacation About The Author Felton Ryan 100 Comments Rebecca Adams I might end up asking several questions and I am sorry if I do. But I will forget if I don’t ask right away. You were just eating the frozen strawberry’jello’ treat. You mentioned that they use a plant to make it. Did you say that the plant is kudzu? And is the plant what thickens the fruit and juice liquid to make it more like jello? Thanks! December 6, 2019 Reply Otto Kalliomäki Thanks for the video gentlemen 🙂 December 6, 2019 Reply Extreme Viking Now that looks.good ?? December 6, 2019 Reply THX Dear Shinichi, dear Satoshi! ❎ This message should not be a criticism – but I would like to draw your attention to something: I have been your fan for about 3 years and it makes me sad when your revenue and clicks stagnate. I wrote a few weeks ago. It was about not understanding the reason for your many new channels. You answered me, which I found very nice. I also suggested that you make a short explanatory video. Maybe you do not want that, I do not know. So far, at least, I have not seen anything. But I would like to tell you that you could really simple make it easier for your fans and you will benefit from it! Even me, as a fan who watches almost every video (except for the long livestreams for which I often do not have time) realized only weeks later that there are suddenly many new channels! It would be easy for you to refer to the other channels in the regular videos (which most people watch) more often. I mean, not just say "look at my second or third channel", but with the name and logo shown in the video! Many viewers find you by chance, as I did then. These people will never know what a great selection of topics and videos you have on the other channels. You will only find these if you are looking for them manually. Many random new viewers will not do that… I watch YouTube on the TV via the Amazon FireTV app. Unfortunately you can not read the video description. Please show the icons for your other channels at the end of the videos! Then everybody can click on them (also via FireTV) without having to search for them awkward. I believe that if your viewers could see the icons directly in the video, this simple and convenient overview would draw much more attention to the other channels and they would directly click, watch and maybe subscribe… My very best wishes and all the best for you!!! ?? December 6, 2019 Reply Lisa Littleton I like the egg runny more I think. The runny yolk is extra yummy to me!!! December 6, 2019 Reply thephranc Losing traditions is always sad. December 6, 2019 Reply Soul Heir Satoshi's beard is on point! December 6, 2019 Reply Lais Santos ???? December 6, 2019 Reply Tracy Osimowicz I love when you guys use a Japanese word or phrase and then give an English translation! Edit: I feel guilty that countries all over the world have enthusiastically taken on learning English to accommodate Western media and consumers while, at least in America, we are culturally extremely ethnocentric about language. I love when my travel vlogs include some of the language of the location, it's interesting to me personally and helps combat that Western linguistic ego in a helpful way! December 6, 2019 Reply Guy Mats excellent video! Thanks Guys! I'm hungry now… :-9 December 7, 2019 Reply mikieson yum…YUM…YUM!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time, next time… There was a great little bakery near our airbnb though, near Ropponmatsu station. I believe it was called アツパン or マツパン。Had a funny little chef drawing on the front of the building. Ate there every morning. Small, but always a lineup, for a reason. I don't even eat a lot of baked goods, but I'd love to go there again. Edit: found it. It's マツパン, near 4-chome-5, Ropponmatsu 🙂 December 7, 2019 Reply bagel the best food channel ever. Love your video.good job?? December 7, 2019 Reply zackizwack watching you guys eat delicious food in amazing places makes me so hungry haha. awesome videos guys December 7, 2019 Reply Dj none I just want to say I love you two and this channel rediscovered the love I had for Japan 20 years ago which started in a classroom trying to learn Japanese I've fallen out of continuing trying to learn the language due to life and responsibilities and never accomplished my dream of visiting but I must say I'm inspired once again. I love both dichotomies of you two. very much Japanese that speaks very good accented English and one who speaks English so well I'd swear you were American. both aspects are very difficult to achieve as I had a natural native Japanese teacher who came over to teach in America and my best friend was Japanese who was straight American and wanted to reconnect to his history and be less embarrassed to his father who ridiculed his ability to speak Japanese ? I hope you are inspired to continue as it helps bring us all together even when we are so far away December 7, 2019 Reply Pei K I LOVE red bean paste based foods…that specialty cake looked delicious :). do you guys have anko ice cream? There's an ice cream shop that has a special ice cream made from red beans called Chinatown Ice Cream Factory in Manhattan's Chinatown-you gotta visit and try if you guys love anko!!! ;). I no longer live in NYC, but always ask my dad or friend to bring a pint of it back up to me everytime they go back. December 7, 2019 Reply majadolinar Great beard Satoshi! December 7, 2019 Reply Cy Cg Wow! The burger was the size of Shinichi's face.. it is huge! As I take a closer look at Shinichi, I just remembered him! OMG! Over the decades, I've been wondering what happened to him. I haven't seen him in person, but I saw his blog long long time ago, perhaps 20 years ago. I remember that one of the photos I saw was Shinichi with Micky Mouse at Disney. Also, he loves her mother, which is just like me. 😉 Good to know that he is still well! December 7, 2019 Reply David I missed your Japanese food tours! Take care guys. C December 9, 2019 Reply Lady Bird Thanks guys!! I'm going to kyushu in the spring next year and I've made a list of every item you described. I hope I get to go to them all <3 Keep making great videos! December 9, 2019 Reply Scriptor13 I'm a vegetarian salivating about meat–that's how good all the savory food looked to me! ツ December 9, 2019 Reply stu Art The last dishes were definitely aimed at the western pallet. As an English man who enjoys eating locally I would be mildly horrified if I was served sausage and mash in Japan. What's the point? I may as well stay home lol December 10, 2019 Reply Sandy Schaffer Shinichi, I hope I'm not over stepping my boundaries but I couldn't help to notice all the fuzziness you have on your t-shirt. LOL. You shouldn't put socks in with your t-shirts in the washer. Also you should wash them inside out and if there is anything that would attach to the shirt it would go on the inside. Hope I don't sound bossy but I just want to help. Lol. Take care and happy washing. December 10, 2019 Reply David Oyama Thanks for making this great food trip video of the hidden gems in Fukuoka ! The food looked so delicious ! December 10, 2019 Reply Rob Langford Hi Shinichi, Love the content of your videos, especially these street eat ones. Sadly, over the past year or so you have been leaving in a lot more of the 'eating noises' (clicks, lip smacks, talking with mouth full) and it has made it impossible to watch for myself and my girlfriend. She has misophonia and just can't deal with the noises anymore which makes us both really sad. By contrast, Satoshi has excellent food presentation manner and rarely makes any gross noises, so if he is ever doing solo videos, we jump to watch them. It's possible that your editing style has changed in this time and/or your audio has 'improved' and picks these noises up clearer. Either way, just thought I would bring it to your attention in the hopes that you can edit them out a bit more so that we can both go back to enjoying your wonderful content. I'm sure there are a lot more people out there with similar conditions who would greatly appreciate this change/return. Love to you both guys and keep up the excellent content. Hope to bump into you one day when we return to Japan 🙂 December 10, 2019 Reply laura reid Wow your English has gotten so great I haven't seen y'all in a while I'm sorry I missed good job I would love to visit here December 10, 2019 Reply Add a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
