of a beautiful Indian Hill station Mussoorie. If you love serenity and nature then Mussoorie
can be your ideal summer retreat this year. Set amidst the foothill of Garhwal Himalayan
ranges, this beautiful hilly town is commonly known as the “Queen of the Hills”. The altitude of Mussoorie is 7000 feet above
the sea level. Tranquil hills, rolling green slopes, snow
covered Himalayan Mountain range, untapped nature- this place has everything to offer. Well-known for its pleasant weather, Mussoorie
can be visited any time from September to June. Though during monsoon, you can enjoy the scenic
beauty of this place but frequent landslides may disrupt your tour plan. So, it is better to avoid Mussoorie in the
months of July and August. Here is a short summer holiday tour plan of
this queen of hills. Let’s begin our journey. Day-1
On day-1 reach Mussoorie from any part of the country. Mussoorie can be reached both by train or
air. By train reach Dehradun station and from there
take a car to reach Mussoorie. By air reach Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun. Mussoorie is 33.3 Km from Dehradun and it
will take around 1 and half hour to reach Mussoorie from Dehradun. Upon reaching Mussoorie check in to your hotel. After that, go for a short sightseeing tour. First, go to the Mall. Located in the heart of the town, the Mall
is the most happening place in Mussoorie where you can find modern shops, video game parlors,
and skating rinks. From there go to Mussoorie Lake. Mussoorie Lake is an artificial lake developed
and maintained by the City Board and the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority. The place is famous for scenic beauty. Here you can enjoy boating. Day-2
On day-2, go to the locations around Mussoorie city. First, visit Gun hill. Gun Hill is the second highest point of Mussoorie. The altitude of the place is 2024 meters. Enjoy the panoramic view of the snow-clad
Himalayan ranges right beside the widespread Doon Valley from here. From there go to Camel’s back road. Located in the heart of Mussoorie, the Camel’s
Back Road is one of the most popular attractions of this town. The place is overlooking the Doon Valley and
offers a picturesque view of the Himalayas. Next visit Company Garden. The Company Garden is a popular tourist attraction
in the mountain city of Mussoorie, located around 3km from the main Mall Road. Nestled amidst the high Himalayas, the beautiful
garden is maintained by the Garden Welfare Association of Mussoorie
From there visit Kempty falls. Located on the way between Dehradun-Mussoorie
roads, Kempty Falls is a beautiful waterfall surrounded by high mountain cliffs. It is nestled at an altitude of around 4500
ft above the sea level. Day-3
On 3rd day go to visit Lal Tibba and Dhanaulti. First, visit Lal Tibba. Lal Tibba is located on the top of Depot Hill
in Landour, approximately 6 kilometers from Mussoorie. Being the highest point in the area, Lal Tibba
is one of the most stunning viewpoints of the place. Enjoy fresh nature here. From there go to Dhanaulti. Located at a distance of 62 km from Mussoorie,
this little town in Uttarakhand is an offbeat destination located at a height of about 2200
meters above sea level. The place is famous for scenic beauty. Where to stay
There are many hotels available in Mussoorie where you can put up for the night. A typical mid-range hotel will charge around
Rs 2500 to Rs4000. All these properties have online booking facilities. We will share the respective links in the
description box. The total tour will cost around Rs 8000 per
