ELMO: [SINGING] Elmo loves his
goldfish, his crayons, too. That’s Elmo’s World! Fa la, la, la la,
la, la, la, la. Oh, hi. Welcome to Elmo’s World. Elmo’s so happy to see you. Oh, and so is Dorothy. Say hello, Dorothy. Oh, guess what Elmo’s
thinking about today? [FANFARE] [BELLS RINGING] Oh. Oh. Sounds like “Jingle Bells.” Oh, Elmo’s thinking
about Christmas. Oh, boy. You know, Christmas! [MUSIC – “WE WISH YOU A MERRY
CHRISTMAS”] There. Now it looks like we’re
ready for Christmas. Yay! Oh. Oh, look! Mistletoe! Elmo loves mistletoe! See, when Elmo stands under the
mistletoe, Elmo gets a kiss. [SMOOCHING] Oh, thank you, door. [KNOCKING] Someone’s at the door. [SMOOCHING] Oh, oh, thanks again, door. [SMOOCHING] Oh, OK, door. That’s enough now. [SMOOCHING] Elmo’s coming. Door, it’s nice. But no more kisses! [SMOOCHING] Boy, door really
loves that mistletoe. And so does Elmo. Oh, look– carolers! CAROLERS: [SINGING] We
wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas. We wish you a Merry Christmas
and a happy new year. Good tidings we bring
to you and your kin. Good tidings for Christmas
and a happy new year. ELMO: Wow. What pretty voices! CAROLERS: Thank you! Merry Christmas! ELMO: Merry Christmas! Boy, that was fun! Elmo loves Christmas carols. Oh, what’s that, Dorothy? Oh, OK. And Dorothy has a question. How do you celebrate Christmas? Oh, good question, Dorothy! BOY: I decorate my house with
a reindeer and a tree that has all sparkly lights. GIRL: I like to feed
carrots to the reindeer. GIRL: Yeah. GIRL: This is a kalimba that
I play at Christmas time. GIRL: Feliz navidad means
Merry Christmas in Spanish. GIRLS: Feliz navidad. Ba dum bum. Feliz navidad. Ba dum bum. GIRL: I like wrapping
presents with my grandparents because it’s so much fun. GIRL: I made this
ornament in my school. BOY: If I could talk to
Santa Clause, I would say, I love you. GIRL: Well, I like when
Santa Clause gives me toys. And when I come downstairs,
I’m like, [GASP]. ELMO: Thank you, everybody. Now, Elmo will ask a baby. Hello, baby. Hello. How do you celebrate
Christmas, baby? Huh? Oh, thank you, baby. Love you. Kiss, kiss, kiss. Kiss, kiss. Oh, look at these. Aren’t they pretty? Elmo’s going to give this gift
to his mommy and this gift to his daddy. Elmo likes to give gifts
to people that he loves. [SPRINGING SOUND] Elmo just thought of something! Elmo doesn’t have a
present for Dorothy! Wait a minute! Santa Clause knows more about
giving Christmas presents than anyone! Elmo can mail Santa a
letter to ask him for help. Oh, and Elmo can ask Letter
Carrier Kelly to deliver it! Yay! KELLY: Did I hear my name? ELMO: Oh, yeah! Elmo needs a letter
delivered to Santa Clause! KELLY: Oh, gee, Elmo. It would be the high
point of my postal career, but I’m off-duty. ELMO: Yeah, but– oh. KELLY: I’m sorry. I’m going to visit my
best friend in Hawaii. mele kalikimaka. ELMO: Mele kalimi what? Is that another holiday? KELLY: No, no. Mele kalikimaka. It’s how you say “Merry
Christmas” in Hawaiian. ELMO: Oh, well, it
sounds really nice. But how is Elmo going to
get Santa Clause’s help now? KELLY: That is tough. A real mind-bender. Say, why don’t you go
visit Santa Claus yourself? ELMO: Go see him? Santa? Yeah! That’s a great idea! Yeah, Elmo will just
go to the North Pole and see Santa Clause! KELLY: Exactly! ELMO: Oh, good! Be right back! KELLY: Oh, good. It’s so cold at the North Pole. You’ve got to stay bundled up. Let me help you. There you go. [MUMBLING] What’s that? Oh. Oh, sorry. Sorry about that. Sorry about that. ELMO: It’s OK. KELLY: There you go. ELMO: Thank you. KELLY: OK. Oh, a kiss for me? ELMO: Sure! Letter Carry Kelly
really helped Elmo. Plus we’re standing
under the mistletoe! KELLY: Oh, thank you, Elmo. Now you’d better get going. ELMO: Oh, boy! Elmo’s going to the North Pole! Yay! KELLY: And always remember
your return address! ELMO: Oh, oh! HAROLD: Wow, wow. SANTA CLAUSE: Be careful!
[CHUCKLING] Nice job, Harold! HAROLD: Thanks, boss. SANTA CLAUSE: Lovely
wrapping, by the way. HAROLD: Wow, thanks– HAROLD: Be careful! Oh, Jimbo! Let’s get those gifts
out to the sleigh! JIMBO: You got it, big guy! SANTA CLAUSE: There’s not a
lot of time left, you know. Christmas is almost here! Ho, ho, ho! ELF: Whooey, the deltoids
are getting a workout today. [SANTA CHUCKLING] ELMO: Santa! SANTA CLAUSE: Well, if
it isn’t Elmo Monster. ELMO: Wow, he knows Elmo’s name! SANTA CLAUSE: Well,
of course I do. Why, you’ve been on the
top of my nice list. You’ve been a very good little
monster this year, Elmo. ELMO: Oh, go on with you, Santa! SANTA CLAUSE: Well,
so what brings you up to the North Pole? That train I brought you last
Christmas didn’t break, did it? ELMO: No, no, Santa. Elmo still has his train,
and he uses it all the time. SANTA CLAUSE: Good! ELMO: Elmo loves
playing conductor. Whoo, whoo, whoo! Chugga chugga, chugga chugga. SANTA CLAUSE: Well, then, Elmo,
I think I know why you’re here. So why don’t you sit
right here in my lap and tell me what you
want for Christmas. ELMO: Well, Santa, what Elmo
really wants more than anything in the world– SANTA CLAUSE: Yes? ELMO: –is to give a
present to Dorothy. SANTA CLAUSE: Your
goldfish Dorothy? ELMO: Wow! Santa knows Dorothy! Elmo’s been trying and trying
to find the perfect present for Dorothy. But Elmo can’t think
of what to get her. SANTA CLAUSE: Oh,
my, my, my, Elmo. Do you know what you have? ELMO: A problem? SANTA CLAUSE: No. You have true Christmas spirit. Why, you’ve come
all the way up here to ask for something for someone
you love instead of yourself. And that is true
Christmas spirit. [MUSIC PLAYING] [SINGING] Christmas
carols fill the air. Christmas lights are
glowing everywhere. Seems all the world is
dressed in red and green. Quite the best you’ve ever seen. And then on Christmas
morning, there will be one more gift
you may not even see. It won’t be wrapped in shiny
paper, tied with ribbons. But every Christmas you
recall that someone’s love’s the greatest present of all. ELMO AND SANTA CLAUSE:
That someone’s love’s the greatest present of all. ELMO: So Santa thinks Elmo
should give Dorothy a gift that shows how much Elmo loves her? SANTA CLAUSE:
That’s right, Elmo. Give her something that
comes from your heart. ELMO: Well, like what? SANTA CLAUSE: Well, Elmo, only
you know what’s in your heart. But I think if you
use your imagination, you’ll be able to come up
with something, I’m sure. ELMO: Well, use
Elmo’s imagination? SANTA CLAUSE: That’s right. [RUNNING FOOTSTEPS] HAROLD: Hey, boss! Your sleigh blew a gasket again! SANTA CLAUSE: I’ll be
right there, Harold! If you’ll excuse me, Elmo,
I’ve got to get back to work. Why, this is my busy time
of the year, you know. ELMO: Well, Elmo understands. Oh, and thank you, Santa. SANTA CLAUSE: Oh,
you’re welcome, Elmo. ELMO: All right. Thank you. SANTA CLAUSE: Oh, and Elmo? ELMO: Oh, yes, Santa? SANTA CLAUSE: Merry Christmas. ELMO: Merry Christmas! Use Elmo’s imagination. That gives Elmo a great idea! Now Elmo knows the perfect
gift to give to Dorothy! Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Oh, yes. ELF: Lift, Jimbo! Lift! SANTA CLAUSE: Are you all right? Is everybody OK? ELVES: Yeah, boss. ELMO: Oh, boy. Whoo, the North
Pole sure is cold. Oh, Dorothy, Elmo’s
got a gift for you! See? It’s a drawing that Elmo
made with his imagination. See? It’s called Dorothy’s World. Does Dorothy like it? Oh, you do? She does! Yay! Oh, what’s that, Dorothy? Oh, Dorothy just said being
with Elmo for Christmas is the greatest gift of all. Oh, thank you, Dorothy. Come on. Elmo loves you, too. There you go, Dorothy. Elmo thinks being
with the ones you love it the very best
part of all the holidays. Oh, Merry Christmas, Dorothy. And Merry Christmas to you, too. CAROLERS: [SINGING] Jingle
bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. ELMO: Did you hear
singing, Dorothy? CAROLERS: [SINGING] Jingle
bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh, what fun it is to– ELMO: Look, everybody’s
outside singing! CAROLERS: [SINGING] Jingle

in a one-horse open sleigh! ELMO: Come on, Dorothy. Let’s go and celebrate
with our friends! Here we go! CAROLERS: [SINGING]
